The Rocketry project was founded in October 2016 by students of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and is described as the first of its kind in Greece.
Its goals are to grow experimental rocketry and aerospace in Greek academia and nationally, and to promote aerospace research in Greece. The team competes in the Spaceport America Cup and the European Rocketry Challenge (EuRoC).
Activities include manufacturing and static testing of solid rocket motors (SRAD), a flight computer for apogee detection and data logging, parachute ejection mechanisms, scale rocket bodies, fins and motor testing.
The team's seventh high-power rocket. Flew in Portugal in 2023 and placed 3rd at EuRoC, with an active airbrake mechanism, a custom solid rocket motor and a self-guiding landing payload.
